Ashley left her 12 year position as an optician to pursue her long time passion of becoming a Realtor®! She is excited to start her new journey of helping others find their dream home! Although born in Texas, Ashley has spent most of her life living in Wisconsin and cheering on the Badgers. She has 2 young girls, Isabella (10) and Gianna (5) that keep her on her toes and are her heart. She has found a life partner in her boyfriend Ryan & together they enjoy traveling to exotic locations, trying new cuisine, outdoor adventures, reading, exploring, and above all lots of laughter. Why do you love what you do?

I love being a real estate agent because every day is a new adventure filled with opportunities to help people realize their dreams. Guiding first-time homebuyers through the exciting—and sometimes overwhelming—journey of finding their perfect home is incredibly rewarding. There’s nothing quite like the moment I hand over the keys, witnessing their joy and excitement! What hobbies do you have and what do you do for fun?
I have a deep passion for travel, as it allows me to explore diverse cultures and ways of life. As an avid outdoor enthusiast, I enjoy hiking, biking, camping, and immersing myself in nature. Music and dance are also significant interests of mine, and I relish attending concerts and festivals. Additionally, I cherish spending quality time with my family, whether we’re playing volleyball, swimming, or enjoying board games together. These activities not only bring joy but also foster meaningful connections with the people I care about.
What do you like most about living in Wisconsin?
I love living in Wisconsin for its stunning natural beauty and vibrant community spirit. The state is a treasure trove of outdoor adventures, from the serene shores of Lake Michigan to the breathtaking landscapes of the North Woods. Each season brings its own charm—fall’s vibrant foliage, winter’s snowy wonderlands perfect for skiing and snowshoeing, spring’s blooming flowers, and summer’s lively festivals. The sense of community here is palpable; whether it’s at local farmers’ markets, summer fairs, or neighborhood gatherings, there’s always a friendly face and a warm smile. Wisconsin’s rich cultural heritage, highlighted by its famous cheese and beer, makes every meal a celebration. Plus, the blend of small-town charm with access to larger cities like Milwaukee and Madison offers the best of both worlds. I appreciate the slower pace of life, where people prioritize connection and tradition, making it a wonderful place to call home.
What makes you proud to be a real estate agent?
I take great pride in being a real estate agent because I have the privilege of helping people navigate one of the most significant decisions of their lives: buying or selling a home. I find immense satisfaction in guiding clients through the complexities of the real estate market, ensuring they feel informed and supported every step of the way. The trust clients place in me motivates me to provide the highest level of service, and the joy I witness when they achieve their dreams is incredibly rewarding. Additionally, being a real estate agent allows me to contribute positively to my community. I enjoy promoting local neighborhoods and businesses, helping clients not only find a house but also connect with a vibrant community. The dynamic nature of the industry keeps me engaged and continuously learning, enabling me to stay ahead of market trends and deliver the best outcomes for my clients. Ultimately, the relationships I build and the impact I make in people’s lives are what truly make me proud to be a real estate agent.
Give an example of how you helped save a deal as a buyer’s agent that might normally have fallen through.
I have saved numerous deals in my years of helping buy and sell but one instance that happened recently stands out in my mind. My clients were under contract on a beautiful victorian home. After inspection was completed, there were quite a few defects that needed to be taken care of. We had gone back and forth with the sellers to come to an agreement, but were having a hard time doing so. There were many times both buyers and sellers wanted to walk away, but I knew how much my clients were in love with this home and I knew the sellers had a property they were eager to downsize to, so I persisted and used my excellent negotiating skills to finally come to a reasonable agreement for both parties. I also had to deeply cut my commission in order for this to get to the closing table. We recently closed and all were happy. I will quite literally go to the ends of the earth to get my buyers into their dream home!
Give an example of a deal that a buyer was able to get out of because of how you drafted the offer.
I always encourage inspections and testing. During Covid, it was a very hot time to buy and sell a home and many were waiving their right to an inspection in order to get a home under contract above other offers. My clients had received an accepted offer on what they thought was their perfect home. We had a “cash offer” from our lender Thompson Kane so this really made our offer stand out. We still added the inspection contingency, however, because you just never know what issues will be found. We put a $10,000 inspection buffer in, meaning we wouldn’t ask for repairs or credits in repairs were under that amount. Turns out that the foundation was not structurally sound and would have costed my clients over $75,000 to repair. Because we added an inspection contingency, we were able to get out of the contract. Imagine if we hadn’t gotten an inspection?? Such a disservice not to have an inspection done.

What previous transaction meant a lot to you and why?
One of my favorite transactions was helping a first time home buyer that never thought they’d be able to purchase. They came from extreme poverty, drug addictions, halfway houses, abuse and unemployment. I met them in 2019 and within 3 years had gotten clean, went back to school, got a fantastic job and was able to get their credit on track to purchase a home. They are thriving still, as I always check up on previous clients, and will soon be looking to add an investment property! The American Dream is still very much alive!
What are some mistakes to avoid as a home buyer?
As a homebuyer, it’s important to avoid several key mistakes that can impact the purchase and future financial stability. One common mistake is neglecting to get pre-approved for a mortgage before starting the home search, which can lead to disappointment if you fall in love with a home outside your budget. Additionally, skipping a thorough inspection to save time or money can result in costly repairs later. Failing to account foall homeownership costs, such as maintenance, taxes, and insurance, is another pitfall that can strain finances. Lastly, rushing the process or not researching the neighborhood could lead to regret if the area doesn’t meet your long-term needs. Taking time to plan and making informed decisions will help ensure a successful home purchase.
