Cassie moved to Rock County back in 2013 and fell in love with the community. As a military wife for 15 years with two young children of her own she understands how where you live affects your life. Why do you love what you do?
I love being to help people achieve their goals of owning or selling a home. The chance to continually meet new people, hear their story and build new relationships, is the best.
What hobbies do you have and what do you do for fun?
My family and I love to travel, we love to explore new places. Having two active daughters involved in many school and club extracurriculars, a lot of my free time is spent attending and cheering them on at those events. I am also an avid reader, I love nothing more than to get lost in a good book.
What do you like most about living in Wisconsin?
Getting to experience all four seasons. There are so many stunning areas to hike just a short drive away.
What makes you proud to be a real estate agent?
The challenge and satisfaction when I am able to help my clients find their home. My goal is to help answer questions to alleviate any stress of the unknown. I want to ensure my clients fully understand the process and walk away happy with their decision of using me as their agent.
Give an example of how you helped save a deal as a buyer’s agent that might normally have fallen through.
Luckily, many of my transactions have been smooth and stress free. There is one deal where a buyers lender was difficult to work with and unresponsive. Communication is crucial when it comes to real estate. I pride myself on effectively exchanging information and keeping everyone in the transaction informed. I did not let the deal fall through the cracks, I was persistent with emails and calls to ensure that my buyers were able to close on their dream home.
What previous transaction meant a lot to you and why?
There have been so many transactions that still bring a smile to my face when I think about them. There is one in particular that stands out. Being a military wife, I understand how moving to a new area can be stressful. Throw into the mix of having a strict deadline and being unable to view the home in person. Thankful for today’s technology, with the help of research, exploration, videos and FaceTime, I was able to find the perfect area and home for a fellow military family. I will go above and beyond for my clients.
What are some mistakes to avoid as a home buyer?
As a home buyer, it is important to understand the process to help avoid detrimental mistakes. One common mistake is not obtaining a pre-approved for a mortgage before starting the home search, it is important to know one’s buying power and not end up looking at homes that are outside of your budget. Another mistake is using the “wrong lender”, it is so important to shop around for interest rates, but even more important on the team you work with.
