ABOUT ERIK
Hello! I’ve spent my life in this beautiful state growing up on the shores of Lake Michigan in the Sheboygan area and living in and around Madison since 1997 while pursuing and graduating with multiple degrees from UW Madison. I have spent 20 years in the medical field but decided the time was right to pursue my long standing passion for real estate, which started years ago while renovating my first house. I have 2 wonderful teenage children, Christopher and Alexis, who always keep me laughing, and one of whom is as tall as I am already. Of course I love my Badgers and all Wisconsin sports! Whether it’s playing golf, throwing a frisbee, going camping or just going to the beach, I love to be outdoors and be active. I also love to take adventures and road trips to explore all the little things out there. Throughout my career in medicine, I was dedicated to getting the best out of my patients through listening to them and making meaningful connections with them, to understand what their goals were in order to mximize recovery and create a positive experience. Making connections with people is at the heart of who I am, and I look forward to making these same connections with my clients at Rock Realty in order to offer you superior customer service and find you the home that you love and make the experience as enjoyable and easy as possible.

Get To Know Erik!
Why do you love what you do?
I love what I do because getting to help people through the process with the biggest purchase of their lives is something I take very seriously and brings me great joy establishing great relationships and seeing my clients happy as they transition into a new home and new phase of life.
What hobbies do you have and what do you do for fun?
I play drums in a band, I enjoy playing and watching all sports, outdoor activities, music, movies, grilling and cooking, perfecting my pizza dough
What do you like most about living in Wisconsin?
The people, no hurricanes, the Badgers, all the seasons, lake Michigan, that first day of 50 degree weather in the spring when you drive around with the windows open
What makes you proud to be a real estate agent?
Because I love going above and beyond for my clients and seeing how it positively effects them.
Give an example of how you helped save a deal as a buyer’s agent that might normally have fallen through.
Recently had a deal where my buyers lender was not making things easy for them and would not be able to close on the closing date which had already needed to be pushed back. The seller wanted to end the deal because of how difficult things were with the current lender. I was able to get them in contact with a great local lender who was able to take them on and get things done in short time and through constant communication between myself, the lender, the lender involved with the buyer of my buyers current home and my buyers, we were able to make the scheduled closing date
Give an example of a deal that a buyer was able to get out of because of how you drafted the offer.
I tailor every offer to the clients needs while always trying to be as competitive as possible. If the right contingencies are in place the client can always get out of the offer.
What previous transaction meant a lot to you and why?
I was able to help a single mother of a child with disabilities get into her own home and out of an abusive relationship. She had been told “no” by every lender that she talked to. But I was able to get her in touch with the right people and into her first home.
What are some mistakes to avoid as a home buyer?
Waiting to get pre-approved until you find “the one”. Not getting out and looking at homes sooner as you learn a lot from the process. Using the wrong lender
What are your niche clients?
